Amercan / British TV Shows I follow

The last time I talked about Korean TV shows and how awesome storylines they have!
And today I'm back to talk about some English TV shows I currently follow.
This time, I have ranked them from ''fantastic'' to ''okay'' shows.
Oh, and I can't be bothered to write a synopsis because most of these shows have a storyline that changes with the seasons. I do apologize but if you already follow any of these shows, you know
what I mean. If I get to the synopsis, I will probably add some comments and theories and how the plotline changes so much. That means we'll be here all day.

Nah, I am not that mean and heartless. I will leave with the synopsis of Season 1 just to get you started, and also one gif reaction to each show. Enjoy!

ONCE UPON A TIME

This show is so sooooooooooo good! It is hard to get someone to get to watch it, 'cause the moment they hear the word ''fairytale'' or ''Snow White'', they flee. If you don't watch it you will never know how badass and brilliant the show is. It is one of my all times favorite, and rarely has it ever become lame. Because of that, I am a big fan of the talented storytelling of Edward Kitsis and, the directors of this show.

The fairytale characters in the show are really not as you remember them from your bedtime stories. Each of them has a badass factor, a deep background of their past and we also see how anyone from a different story intertwines with the story of another character. And that's all thanks to Rumplestiltskin, the Dark One who loves to make deals and use them to his advantages.

One thing I really love about this show is how we get to explore on the concept of heroes and villains. What makes you one of the good guys? Is redemption and change to goodness possible for a long-time villain character?
It is such a sweet family show! But it's really not all that simple. With all tv shows, it never is..
Get ready for all the feels!

Synopsis for Season 1:

Once upon a time, the Evil Queen crashes Snow White and Prince Charming's wedding to threaten everyone that she will destroy the happiness of everyone in the kingdom.
In present day, Emma Swan is doing pretty well with her lonely but energetic life as a bail bonds collector. Until her past begins to catch up to her when Henry, her son whom she gave up for adoption many years ago. He pleads her to go with him to the town where he lives called Storybrooke, as things are not right there. Henry believes that everyone in town is put under a curse and Emma is the only one who can break it, as she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Skeptical and worried about Henry's mentality, she brings him back to town to his foster mother, Regina Mills, who is also the mayor of Storybrooke. In a small town she has never heard before, where time used to stand still and inhabitants having no memory of their past lives, what exactly is the secret that ties Emma Swan to them?

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

Those who know me might probably wonder why this show is not number one on my list because I never shut up about it. If you follow me on Tumblr, you know I contribute to the theories community with my PLL-dedicated blog. The show definitely has its ups and downs, and I have some sort of love and hate relationship with Pretty Little Liars, but the mystery and humor of the show is so addictive. Ever since the pilot, PLL fanbase gather around, especially on Tumblr, to formulate their theories with all precision and evidence included. Nothing escapes our eyes, and maybe that's the most fun part of catching up with the episodes. Even though sometimes you get too many clues and they drive you crazy. I was so glad when I was able to get A's identity right back in season 2!!
As we are in season 6, my prime suspects are Wren Kingston, Alison Dilaurentis, or Dr. Rollins. Mark my words!

But of course Aria Montgomery will always remain my favorite suspect whether it makes sense or not...

Synopsis for Season 1:

It all started one summer night, when their best friend and queen bee of the town of Rosewood disappears with no trace. Her name was Alison DiLaurentis, and she was mysterious as she was beautiful. One year later, her body is found. (from left to right in the poster) Hanna Marin, Emily Fields, Spencer Hastings and Aria Montgomery are under suspicion of having something to do with Alison's murder. Alison was full of secrets and trouble, and there are many people in Rosewood who can say things are better off without her. Who killed Alison? But more importantly, who is this mysterious person texting the girls under the signature ''A''? Why is he/she threatening them and how does he/she know the secrets they had only told Alison? Is Alison still alive or is she hiding somewhere from A?

And if you think it can't get any messier that Season 1, just wait until Season 3.

QUANTICO

(Shoutout to my favourite Bollywood actress I grew up watching, Priyanka Chopra! You rock girl!!)
Yes, the main reason I checked out the pilot was because of her. And wow, this show has so much to offer! The way it tackles such controversial topics is beyond superb. If you love action and thriller shows with a tinsy bit of mystery, welcome to Quantico.

Synopsis for Season 1

Alex Parrish runs away from her life to join the FBI Academy and follow her father's footsteps. With her quick practical skills and clever plans, she easily becomes the model student. Flash forward to many years later after the academy, Alex wakes up in the aftermath of a terrorist bombing in NYC with no memories of how she got there. The police arrest her as she was the only on found on the scene of the crime and perhaps also because of racist stereotypes. Her ex-teacher helps her to run away as she believes she is innocent. Now Alex must run undercover, and find out who is trying to frame her and stop them before they attack again while running away from the police. In order to do that, she reaches out to her former classmates at the FBI academy, who also have secrets and tensions of their own.

SCREAM QUEENS

I remember when this show first came out and many people were offended by a few things from ''Scream Queens''. As for me, I normally would rather not talk about this show when chatting with friends because it is really hard to explain those things. It is meant to be a comedy and satire, but sometimes the lines between that and offensive really become blurry.
''Scream Queens'' is basically my guilty pleasure, because once you start watching it without taking everything too seriously and personally, you are in for great laughs. It's a satire!! It's a very daring show that has absurd characters and scenes, each representing a part of the society and certain issues seen through the eyes of rich snobby teenagers and dumb or naive kids.
The show is ridiculous and brilliant! And the plots twists though!!!

Synopsis for Season 1:

1995, Wallace University.
In a party at the sorority house KKT, a girl secretly gives birth to a baby. Though shocked, her snobby sorority sisters leave her unattended just to go and enjoy dancing to their one favorite song at the party. When they return, she was aready dead.

Present day, Wallace University.
Grace Gardner starts her year at college, looking forward to follow her deceased mother's footsteps and join the KKT sorority house. A serial killer is loose around campus, consumed with revenge and insanity. The Red Devil is after anyone associated with the KKT house, which is currently under the reign of the rich and ruthless queen bee, Chanel Oberlin and her minions.

BONUS

BIG BANG THEORY

I do love those kinds of shows you don't have to be guilty about if you have missed one episode. Big Bang Theory is always there during a boring, lonely and quick lunchtime. As a Science student, you've got to love the inside jokes, the smoothness of eac episode with no overly dramatic storylines and, of course, Sheldon Cooper!

DOCTOR WHO

Okay this is a lie. I am one of those people who started watching Doctor Who with the 11th Doctor, brilliantly portrayed by Matt Smith, and hasn't watched it ever since he left. I haven't meaning to quit the show really! I got caught up in other things, but overall I love Doctor Who. It will always be on of the shows I will recommend.
